چکیده

Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are one of main health problems caused by many microorganisms, including uropathogenic Escherichia coli (UPEC). The virulence factors important in colonization UPEC, extra-intestinal survival, and creation cytopathic effects. In addition, the expression special UPEC can contribute to uropathogenicity, as well worsening UTIs. this study, 134 isolates E. were collected from Baghdad/Iraq through March 2018 April 2019. identified culturing on Hardy chromo UTI agar confirmed at molecular level using uidA housekeeping gene real time polymerase chain reaction. The prevalence fimH was studied among 134uropathogenic patients attended Using reaction assay, Visualization (bp) 1.5% agarose gel analysis. By comparing bands a sample DNA ladder, their approximate sizes be determining. For instance, bright band above 1000 base pairs size for fimH. intended detected 94.8% absence 5.2%.of them.

genotyping of virulence factors of uropathogenic escherichia coli by pcr

background: escherichia coli is the most causative agent of urinary tract infections (utis). apart from all human infectious diseases, uti have a high prevalence and in most cases, escherichia coli is a dominance bacterium which can cause pyelonephritis and cystitis. the aim of the study was to determine the occurrence of some virulence genes expressing fimbriae, production of hemolysin and aer...

In silico Study of Toll-Like Receptor 4 Binding Site of FimH from Uropathogenic Escherichia coli

Introduction : The innate immune system as the first line of defense against the pathogens recognizes pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) by Toll-Like Receptors (TLRs). Interaction of bacterial PAMPs by TLRs results in activation of innate and acquired immunity. FimH adhesin, a minor component of type 1 fimbriae encoded by Uropathogenic Escherichia coli (UPEC) is a PAMP of TLR4 tha...

The FimH Gene in Uropathogenic Escherichia coli Strains Isolated From Patients With Urinary Tract Infection

BACKGROUND Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are one of main health problems caused by many microorganisms, including uropathogenic Escherichia coli (UPEC). UPEC strains are the most frequent pathogens responsible for 85% and 50% of community and hospital acquired UTIs, respectively. UPEC strains have special virulence factors, including type 1 fimbriae, which can result in worsening of UTIs. O...

the fimh gene in uropathogenic escherichia coli strains isolated from patients with urinary tract infection

conclusions the results of this study indicated that more than 90% of e. coli isolates harbored the fimh gene. the high binding ability of fimh could result in the increased pathogenicity of e. coli; thus, fimh could be used as a possible diagnostic marker and/or vaccine candidate. materials and methods a total of 140 isolated e. coli strains from patients with uti were identified using biochem...

Multiplex PCR-based reverse line blot assay for simultaneous detection of 22 virulence genes in uropathogenic Escherichia coli.

Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are among the most common bacterial infections and are responsible for significant morbidity and health care costs worldwide. The main bacterial cause of uncomplicated UTI is Escherichia coli, which possesses numerous virulence factors (VFs). Many studies of the pathogenesis of E. coli UTI have centered on VF genes. Hence, the development of better molecular assa...
